Team GB hopeful Roald Bradstock is using the unlikely capturing of one of his training throws by Google’s Street View cameras as inspiration that he might make the team for London 2012.
The 49-year-old finished seventh at the Los Angeles Games in 1984. Despite his advancing years, he remains Britain’s third best javelin thrower and is clinging to the hope that he might make the team next year. read more »
Women boxers at London 2012 could be wearing skirts. The move has been touted in a bid to differentiate the female boxers from their male counterparts.
The Amateur International Boxing Association has asked women boxers to consider opting for skirts, but only two nations – Poland and Romania – adopted the attire for the recent European Championships.
Poland went as far as to make skirts compulsory.
Coach Leszek Piotrowski said: “By wearing skirts, in my opinion, it gives a good impression, a womanly impression.”

Unfortunately, car hurdling isn’t yet an Olympic sport but if it was Team GB would be the early medal favourites.
Long jumper JJ Jegede took on a Mini challenge by jumping over three cars. And thankfully he succeeded without sustaining an injury that would have jeopardised his training for a proper sport.
