Team GB hopeful Roald Bradstock is using the unlikely capturing of one of his training throws by Google’s Street View cameras as inspiration that he might make the team for London 2012.

The 49-year-old finished seventh at the Los Angeles Games in 1984. Despite his advancing years, he remains Britain’s third best javelin thrower and is clinging to the hope that he might make the team next year.

And after one of his throws was unexpectedly caught mid-flight by Google’s cameras, he fancies his odds of qualifying.
