Comedian Russell Brand has succeeded in offending a host of Paralympians after an ill-advised rant about the Olympics during a stand-up gig.

The controversial comic was moaning about London 2012 when he managed to squeeze in a bonus attack on disabled atheltes.

He said:

“I don’t give a f*** about the Olympics. It’s boring Blue Peter sport and waste of taxpayers’ money.

“At least the Paralympics have some kind of novelty value or something.”

Several Paralympians have spoken out against Brand’s comments, including Dame Tanni Grey-Thompson, who said his remarks were both careless and irresponsible.
